Apart from those on cultural elements and flowers, Ayako’s recent works focus onOshibana, presenting the beauty of space and light using interval projection. In her works, she uses Oshibana and displays the visual effects of interacting light and shadow as well as reality and virtuality through the projection of light and images on acrylic boards,which breaks the mold of traditional pressed flower art. Collectors and hobbyists can experience the beauty of Oshibana and projected texts playing together.
Among her concepts and inspirations, the characteristics of plants are a source of her creative ideas, which is unique in normal pressed flower artworks and Oshibana works. Ayako reflects how people honestly feel about plants and art pieces. Her recent works combine culture and art, as well as the special feelings people have towards flowers and the warmth flowers bring to people.
The idea comes from the AlchemicalArt series. Through different shades of paints, outer frames, and LED projection light, she projects her works to create the beauty of pressed flowers, script, light, and shadow.
