Born in 1965 in Yunlin County Ayako started to learn about pressed flower artwhen she came across a pressed flower art exhibition at Taipei Veterans General Hospital in 2005. She began her journey by creating small art pieces and then developed a passion for Oshibana (Japanese pressed flower art).
Afterwards, she studied with Oshibanainstructors and received the certificatesof instructors forL’ecrin Flower and Oshibana in 2009. Later on, she became aninstructor at the International Pressed Flower Art Society.
Ayako adores the beauty of Oshibana. Her first work, “Flowers in A Basket,” is a piece that reflects the natural images in Ayako’s life. It not only displays the most natural beauty of flowers, but also adds different vitality to the beauty of flowers.
While studyingto acquire her certificates, Ayako came into contact with many pressed flower works and participated in art-related exhibitions, giving her opportunities to explore the spirit of pressed flower art through creation. She endeavors to think beyond the framework and perspectives adopted by traditional pressed flower artists in the hope ofelevating the aesthetic value of her works.
